Creating a calendar entry in iOS 7 is pretty much a straight forward task. From the Calendar app simply tap the [+] button in the upper right hand corner then proceed to fill in the applicable sections. What’s not quite obvious is that you can switch the 1-minute increments in the time section to 5-minute increments for faster input if you need to. Tapping either “Starts” or “Ends” followed by a double tap the minutes changes the scroll wheel from the default 1-minute increment to 5-minute increments. Double tapping again reverses it. The latest version of Pages for iOS brings with it more templates then previous versions but nowhere near as many as Microsoft Word. On top of that the dimensions of each template can’t be changed. Leaving users either stuck with what’s provided by Apple or to manually add their own templates. The best thing about WiFi is exactly what it was created for; reaching areas that cables just can’t. Unfortunately, in many cases, to manage that wireless connection you still need to be physically connected to it. And although many wireless routers do allow access via the web that isn’t much help if your router isn’t allowing internet access or you just don’t use it for that purpose. But, if you own one of Apple’s wireless routers and an iOS device your worries could be significantly lowered since you can perform some basic functions right from your couch. In fact, you can even setup any Apple AirPort Extreme BaseStation or AirPort Express and have it fully running all without slaving over at your desktop computer.
