Samsung Unpacked, Part 1

I’m usually stuck on the sidelines when it comes to product unveiling events. Having to watch them via the internet either live streamed or live blogged through someone else can really be the pits if it’s something your truly interested in. So when I got the chance to go to Samsung’s Unpacked Event I jumped at it without hesitation. Held in my old stopping ground Radio City Music Hall was just an added benefit. Although it’s a small venue to hold such an event, taking into consideration Radio City’s atmosphere and stature Samsung couldn’t have picked a better place. Radio City Music Hall’s reputation far exceeds its size of roughly 6000 seats. It’s art deco designed interior, awesome sound stage makes it a classic place to behold and to say, “Yes, I’ve been there”. Larger than life is precisely what Samsung wants if I were to speculate. Will the Galaxy S4 live up to the expectations Samsung has created. Lets take a look.

Jumping into Windows… Windows 8 That Is

Windows 8 is Microsoft’s latest OS offering to the computer market which promises a unified yet uncompromising user experience. But before you can try any of this out you have to get it on your computer first if you opted out of purchasing a whole new machine.

I debated long and hard whether or not to take the plunge. Then, last weekend I found myself confronted with the low cost of entry combined with the ever looming threat of the free Media Center Pack offer mere days away from expiring. I took a deep breath and decided to jump right in. What could I lose except a few bucks and the time and effort spent installing it. If successful it would go on a new computer build I’m planning in the near future. There’s no need for me to mess around with my current Windows 7 setup when it’s perfectly fine the way it is. So for now I will only experience the install and setup process.

Surface Memory

Available user memory… This seems to be a very hot topic right now where Microsoft’s Surface PCs are concerned. So let’s see if we can bring some sanity to this mess the tech world is drumming up. Microsoft’s Surface RT is currently available in 32GB and 64GB versions while the Surface Pro will be available in 64GB and 128GB versions. What’s getting some all heated up under the collar
